Tour Description:

Our Muir Woods (Redwoods) and Alcatraz Tour begins when we pick you up anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area.  We travel out of San Francisco and over the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the famous bridges of the world.  Across the bridge is the lovely Marin Country, where we head for Muir Woods, a national monument and home of famous giant redwood trees.  Redwoods can grow to be over 300 feet tall, and thousands of years old!  No trip to Northern California is complete without a stroll among these ancient treasures.  When our time among the redwoods comes to an end, we still have Alcatraz to look forward to!  We head back over the Golden Gate Bridge to the wild and wonderful Fisherman's Wharf, the starting-point for the Alcatraz portion of the tour.  The Alcatraz tour begins with a ferry ride to Alcatraz Island.  Once on the island, the tour of this famous prison includes fascinating stories from your guides about some of the worst criminals in U.S. History, and the famous escape from Alcatraz.  At the conclusion of this tour, a ferry guide brings you back to Fisherman's Wharf.

• Start Time: Tour departs every day according to the schedule below.
• End Time: Tour ends at the approximate return times in the schedule below.
• Pickup/Drop-off: Free pickup and drop-off available at any San Francisco hotel or address, usually 20-30 minutes before departure.  For a small additional fee, pickup and drop-off anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area is also available.
• Children and Seniors: Children 2-5 years old free!  Children 5-12 and seniors (over 65) receive a 10% discount from the regular adult price.  Sorry, infants (under 2 years old) are not permitted on our luxury tours.
• Advantages: A great half-day tour and opportunity to relax and get out of the city.  Available now at this business-class price!
• What to wear: From April-October, dress lightly but bring a sweater or sweatshirt along with your sunblock and comfortable shoes.  In November-March, dress in layers to be prepared for anything!
